Get Your “Foot” in the Door Help Us Reach a
Mile High
Help our students get to the “Mile High” city of Denver, CO this summer. We
need to raise $5280 by selling the number of “feet” in a mile (5280 feet = 1
mile). Buy your foot at the youth dinner ticket sales table or in the
Paradise Perk. Write your nam e
on the foot and we’ll put it up on the Paradise Perk window. We have $1, $5,
$10, and $20 feet available. If you purchase a $10 foot, you receive a
coupon for $1 off any purchase in the Paradise Perk. If you buy a $20 foot,
you receive a $3 coupon. All purchases are tax deductible, so help us reach
that mile.
Angels’ Songs
On Friday, March 12, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Center,
Audrey’s Angels will present “Angels’ Songs” featuring some of Audrey’s
Angels’ talented musicians. Tickets ($10 for adults and $5 for children 12
and under) will be available at the door and on the patio between services
on Sunday, March 7. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit
Audrey’s Angels, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that enriches the lives
of the elderly by bringing interactive programs into senior group homes.
Refreshments will be available for purchase from the Paradise Perk starting
at 6:00 p.m. that evening, so plan to arrive early and bring the whole
family.
How Are You Smart?
Parents of preschoolers through
5th graders are invited to a special workshop, How Are You Smart?, presented
by Kari Kling of Education Expertise Comes Home on Wednesday, March 3 from
6:30-7:30 p.m. in Room H7. Child care will be provided. You will leave this
class with a better understanding of how each member of your family learns,
and how to develop areas of weakness into strengths.

“God loves it when the giver delights in the giving.” 2 Corinthians 9:7
The Message. The
NRSV reads, “God loves a cheerful giver.” A church secretary back in Kansas
was fond of adding “…but will take it from a grouch!”
We’re not only to give, we’re to give cheerfully, delighting in the giving?
Mercy! How? I believe it hinges on gratitude. We’ll explore it this Sunday
morning in worship in “Gracefully Grateful and Generous.”
It’s also Consecration Sunday, inviting our pledges, i.e. Gratitude Cards, in
support of our budget ministry year beginning July 1. We’ll also receive
Holy Communion. Pray the Holy Spirit equips it.
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Kelly
Worship this Sunday
morning
Pastor Kelly
will present the message called "Gracefully
Grateful and Generous" at the 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. worship services.
Read the scripture for
this service.
Music this Sunday morning
We come to give everything to God this Sunday, Commitment Sunday. Our
opening hymn at 8:00 & 9:30 is “What Gift Can We Bring” sung to
Anniversary Tune. The Chancel Choir will respond using this same tune in
anthem form. The Paradise Singers will proclaim our adoration for God when
they sing “Adoramus te” or “we adore Thee” by Lasso. Mary Rose will let
us know that God will supply everything we need when she sings “My
Shepherd Will Supply My Need.” At 11:00, Quint Harris and the Adult Praise
Team will bring the message in song as they sing “Surrender.” This
song demonstrates our need to surrender all to God who deserves all of
our praise. Come and commit all you have this day in worship.

50th Anniversary photo directory ahead
It has been 4 years since our last
pictorial directory. This year marks the 50th
anniversary of the founding of our congregation, so we would like every
member and constituent to be photographed this year.

To begin the process, Olan Mills will be on campus to take photographs the
weeks of March 16-20 and April 6-10. To make an appointment on line, visit
pvumc.org, or click here
Olan Mills
, or sign up in person on campus this Sunday.
Are you traveling March 16-20 and April
6-10 when the photo shoots are scheduled? Are one or more of your children
away at school and will be home an alternate week? Call Maggie Wilder as arrangements for alternate photo locations can be made. Don't let
anything get in the way of EVERYONE being in our new directory.
Each family photographed will receive a free 8x10 portrait and a copy of the
completed directory.
If you have any questions or would like to volunteer with scheduling, phone
calling or check-in, please call Maggie Wilder.
