Music Programs at PVUMC

At Paradise Valley United Methodist Church, there are many ways to celebrate faith through music and the arts. Opportunities exist for people of all ages and for people with varying levels of musical training and artistic abilities. The Worship, Music and Fine Arts Ministry Team includes volunteers who are passionate about and skilled in drama and liturgy, decorating, the visual arts, and music.

Community Concert Series

Every year, PVUMC offers a Community Concert series specifically designed for all ages. Past performances have included the Sahnas Brothers, held in our open-air amphitheater in early October; choral groups; the Tetra String Quartet; Traveler, a multi-ethnic fusion ensemble; Run Boy Run, an award-winning bluegrass group; musical theater night, and seasonal concerts by our own choirs at Christmas and just prior to Holy Week.

There is no fee for the events, though a free-will offering will be taken at the event in support of the series.

For a full list of upcoming concerts and events, see our Events page.

Programs for Adults

Rehearsal Every Wednesday 6PM-7:20PM

Bells of Paradise is a handbell choir that provides music for our worship services, community events, and outreach opportunities.  While previous handbell experience is not required, members do need to be able to read music.  The bells enhance worship once a month and for special liturgical events/services such as Christmas, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter.

Modern Worship at PVUMC

Welcome to a vibrant, diverse, and growing community of people in faith!

Our weekly worship experience features modern praise and worship music led by an arsenal of talented musicians and vocalists each week, and a thought-provoking sermon by our pastor team.

We celebrate community once per month, and feature a first Sunday of the month luncheon immediately following the worship experience. Our community regularly engages in activities outside of Sunday: theatre and music events around the Valley, Dinner of the Month Club outings, and much more.

Modern Service Teams

An opportunity for kids in kindergarten through 6th grade to join the band and vocalists singing modern worship music without a huge time commitment. No experience necessary.
